What do I love about pinterest? I get to share my fashion ideas...my style, my favorite places I want to go, my favorite hairstyles...anything I love! Also it's great for those out there that just are looking for something new to make. With me having a fashion blog, I feel pinterest works well with my blog, it gives others my fashion view and what I love! Just like I said above.

Now let's talk style...

What style of jeans do you like to wear?

What do I like to wear? I like to wear mainly slight flare but, I do love boot cut. I am working on getting use to skinny jeans...because I love wearing boots. Boots look so much better, with a pair of skinny jeans.


70's are back: So, what does that mean for jeans? Flare jeans are back! My daughter told me the other day..."Mom, it's great that you have held out for the flare jeans to come back in." What does that mean? LOL... Well, my girls have been wearing mainly skinny jeans and some boot cut. But, with my body, I think slight flare gives a more balanced look, from the head down.

My Opinion: When it comes down to it, it's all about what you like and what you feel looks the best on you. If you do choose to wear skinny jeans, try wearing tops that are longer (They cover those problem areas). Don't be afraid to be who you are.

11 DAYS TILL CHRISTAS! FASHION IDEAS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Christmas is coming quick. I can't believe it's only in 11 days! Boy does time fly by! I am so excited for our Christmas gatherings. The best part is dressing up. Rather it's to look good or to look ugly what will you wear? I'm sure I have you puzzled right now. What I am talking about is...

Do you have an ugly sweater party? My daughter was invited to one Saturday and had no idea what to wear. So...Momma went shopping. What did I find? One ugly sweater! Striped but yet...very soft. :D To add to it, Beads! Red, Gold & Green. And of course an ugly sweater would be boring without a....Christmas pin. Add some Christmas earrings and a big bow on top of her head and she's go her ugly sweater look. But, now of course I am her Mom and I don't even think that sweater could make her look ugly. She's beautiful. OK, Now there is my ugly sweater idea.

Onto dressing up. How about a black pencil skirt. Add a sweater tucked in and a big belt, heels and you're good to go. Or, a long sweater, Necklace, Hoop earrings,  leggings and boots. Now look below for some more great ideas.

1. Slacks, Career top/dressy shirt, necklace and some black heels.
2. Halter red dress, a black sweater, black tights and black heels. Don't forget about the Red Headband or even Black with a bow would look adorable.
3. Skinny jeans, Cardi wrap sweater and some boots.
4. Black flowing dress (Medium Length) Red, black ribbon bow around the waist, black tights and heels Red Ribbon or Black Ribbon (Tied into a headband).
5. Sparkles! Anything that has sparkles in it. Stand out at a party. Don't be afraid.

WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR CHRISTMAS? ~ GIVE PEOPLE IDEAS POST HERE

I thought it would be fun for us all to share items we would like for Christmas. It will give others ideas. First of all, I will start with a few items I myself would love for Christmas. Try to list some sensible items that are not overly expensive. But, if you can't help yourself, then post what you want. Share this blog with that person you would love to buy those items for you. You can also post where the times are located.  Let's have fun!


What would I like for Christmas?

1. I would love a Biggby Coffee mug with a gift Certificate in it or even Evelyn Bay Coffee. 
2. I Love Scarves. I would love a colorful scarf that just says "FUN"! 
3. I would love a handmade card from my kids
4. I Love sweaters! Anything cozy. 
5. I would love Perfume (My favorite is Intuition) from Macy's. 
6. Jewelry. I love necklaces and hoop earrings. 
7. Gift Card to Panera bread. I love that place!
8. A New Pea Coat. :D 
9. Gift certificate for a pedicure to Flamingo's downtown. (I have never had one)
10. Time! Movie tickets are a great idea! Eaton Theatre, Celebration, Goodrich. etc. :D

SAVE MONEY SPENDING LESS FOR CHRISTMAS

The holidays are quickly approaching but, yet you don't have a lot to spend. Join a lot of others out there. The economy stinks so, what can you do to make your Christmas special but, without spending a ton of money?

Well, first of all, you need to remember it's not about how much you spend it's the thought that counts. A lot of us seem to forget that. It's more fun to do things for people that don't expect a lot than the ones that do.

Back to savings. What can you do?

1. Shop Consignment stores and online stores. You will be surprised to find new a lot of the time. It doesn't matter where it comes from. Here's one of my favorites. Bella's Consignments, Bella Grande
2. Make some baked goods. People always love baked items or you can buy them. Here are a few of my favorites online. Sweetest Revenge, Colies Creation
3. Look online for coupons and coupon codes before buying.
4. Just because black Friday is over doesn't mean people aren't offering them still. Be patient.
5. Some stores still offer layaway so, look around. Layaway is a great option for not overspending.
6. Some places like CVS offer spend $30.00 and get a $10.00 gift card. You can do it up to 5 times in one week. I love CVS! Lots of great buys there to on Make-up, Perfume/Cologne and so much more.
7. Shop dollar stores like Family Dollar. You can find a lot of great deals for a low price.
8. Shop on ebay! Talk about saving...ebay also offers ebucks you can earn while spending, You apply the amt towards a purchase once they are issued. I earned over $20.00 once from doing that. http://stores.ebay.com/FOREVER-A-TEEN?_rdc=1
9. Look for sales that you can apply coupons to.
10. Back to ebay, you can buy coupons off ebay to save also.
11. A lot of people are selling homemade items on Facebook. Here are a few from my business group.

HOW I SHOP BLACK FRIDAY

So, I got out EVERY year for Black Friday. I love it! The excitement of getting up early and beating all of the people! It's so much fun! I get that Adrenalin rush just knowing...I will always get what I want. Now you are asking how? Well, here is what I have learned. If you think the store opens up at 5:00 am and you are going to get there in line at 4:45, plus get what you want....think again! You will be lucky to get what you want. The line will wrap around the store or inside the store. People like me get there at around 2:00 am or even earlier to get in line.

You are saying...I can't get up that early! Well, I do every year and I most always get a choice of a line I want to get it. I sometimes take someone with me and put them in a line, while I stand in the other line. It works!

Here is my schedule every Black Friday:

• 2:00 am: get up, throw on my clothes/hat & head out the door.
• 2:30 am: Go to Meijers. I LOVE Meijers! A lot of there items are right out in the open so, I can throw them in my cart early on. Then I get in line for the items I want. I usually am about the 2nd- 4th person in line. Therefore, I will get the item I need.
• 5:00am: Head directly to the line ASAP. I usually don't have much of a wait if I go quick.
• 5:10 am: Head to Target, get in line. I most always know of a main item I want at Target, I go directly to that item and RUN....once the door opens. Grab my item and head to the Cash Register QUICK! If you wait to long, the line will wrap around the store so, you have to move FAST! Have someone go get in line for you and then jump in. That helps to.
• 6:00 am. I decide where I want to go next, usually the Mall. They have awesome deals, especially on clothing. You will be in line for a while. So, like above...when you know you are close to being done, have someone get in line.

After I get done at the mall. It's time for Breakfast! After Breakfast, I may go to a few more selected places. I usually am always back home by 12:00.

One word of advice. If you are in a long line...waiting to get an item...DO NOT let anyone cut! People are out there watching and get ticked. Plus...do not cut either. I had a guy one year bump me hard as I was going through the register line. I had no idea...why? I found out later, I had some people cut with me. He threatened them in the store and told them he would meet them outside. So, be careful! People are crazy on Black Friday. If you are having someone save you a spot for the register, there usually aren't to many people that would get upset. As long as you don't pop in line with a huge cart. I only do that if I have 1 or 2 items.

How to save on your Holiday Outfits?

1. EBay ( A lot of people are listing their Holiday outfits in eBay right now. Don't feel like you have to shop just from one person (although you can get combined shipping offers). Look for the deals & Auctions that are closing at crazy times. Like when...people are sleeping, at work, holidays...etc.

2. Goodwill: You can find super cute tops for less than $4.00. You may have to search through them but, it's so worth it.

3. Thrift Stores: You can sometimes find almost new tops for less than $2.00. Remember they wash!

4. Clearance: Clothes don't last on the racks for to long. So be patient! Wait till they go on clearance. If you can find a cute Cami on clearance. You can search for a sweater on sale. Like the old saying...Patience is a virtue. Keep going back. More than likely...that top will go on sale or clearance.

These are a lot of the things I do to save so, I can look good for the holidays.

Now onto Saving....shopping for presents.

1. Keep an eye out for Sales in the Sunday sales flyer's.
2. Shop eBay...you never know what unique items you may find.

4. Look on eBay for coupons you can buy, if you don't have one. It's worth it if you buy a 20% off coupon for $5.00 and spend $300 dollars. You will get $60.00 off minus the $5.00 you spent. Total savings $55.00. A lot of people sell coupons on eBay.
5. Get up and go Black Friday shopping. You would not believe the savings you can find. If you haven't tried it, it's a must!

You here people talking about eBay all the time. So, what is the big deal about eBay? I have been a seller on eBay since 2004 and I love it! Seems like whatever I am looking for, I usually can find it on eBay. I currently am a Top Rated Seller/Power Seller with over 1700 positive feed backs left. Now...I'm not bragging, I just want to give you a little advice. When you do visit eBay. Look for sellers with high feedback ratings, Positive star ratings and their percentage. Min is currently at 100%. So, I am a seller you can trust. I ship out items in a timely matter, I package them safely, I try to have customer interaction as much as I can (Especially with being online). These all are important things to look for, when you are shopping on eBay.

Now why shop on eBay?

It's crazy but, their are people like me, trying to pull traffic into my store and we sell items super cheap doing it...plus free shipping. Or at least that's what I do. So my LOSS is your GAIN. If you watch an item, you never know what the bidding price will be. Another advantage is...you can earn eBay buck. I currently have over  $20.00 to spend on whatever, just by buying things on eBay. You can't beat free.

ARE YOU BORED WITH THE SAME OLD CLOTHES?

I use to be this person that would buy NEW clothes every year. I would tell myself, "it's ok I spent the money on it." I will wear this next year! How many of us do that? Realistically, you will be bored next year, and it will be sitting in your closet.

So, here is my idea for you; Buy pre owned. You will spend a lot less, will be less likely to be wearing your best friends top that she has on & you will not feel so bad when you spend alittle extra on those cute shoes you want. I use to think I had to spend that extra on the name brand items.

Well guess what? Most people have no clue, what or who your top was named after. Unless they ask, they will never know. If you want the name brand's buy pre owned. You will save a ton. Then you can do like I do, re sell it on ebay and make money off the top you purchased pre owned. It's crazy but, it works.

Where can you find pre owned clothing?

1. My ebay store ofcourse. :D I have a wonderful pick of Tops ( a lot of them are name brand), clothing & accessories.
2. Visit your local consingment store, thrift store or even goodwill.
3. Have a swap party with your friends. Set a rate for those that want to attend & a limit to how many items you can bring, then swap clothes. You will save a ton of money doing that & your old clothes will be filled with the new to you pre owned clothes.

If you're ready for that change...buy pre owned & fill up that boring closet.

NEW FALL FASHION STYLES...Show off your personality

It's time for fall fashion. But, what is it?

Shorts in the winter...high socks...boots that tie...long poncho sweaters. Wow, the styles are changing. But, you know what...I think that is great! I tell my kids all the time. Be who you want to be, not who everyone else wants you to be. Being original is exactly what all of us should be. God made us to not look like everyone else so, why not do that with our styles to. I am almost 40 years old and I am at a time in my life, where I figure...I can dress and be who I want to be, without worrying about what everyone else thinks. I love fun clothes. I think it pretty much shows off my personality.

I have a question for you...Do you show off your personality or are you dressing to be someone Else's? Crazy to think about, huh? From what I see, there are all sorts of styles out there right now. Like I stated above. I have even noticed a lot of the stuff, doesn't even match. But, really who cares! If you like it...wear it.

FALL ORGANZING ~ GETTING YOUR CLOSET READY FOR FALL

Are you ready for fall? I am getting there. Would you like some advice on how to get your closet ready for fall? Here are a few easy to do ideas.

Clean out the closets, treat your closets like you are spring cleaning. But, what exactly should you clean?

1. Clean out your old clothes, you know you will not wear. Quit thinking, I may wear this someday. I have done that many of times. It just doesn't work. My closet seems to get fuller and fuller.

What should you do with those clothes, you don't want? Well, if you are looking to make money, you have a few options.  (1). Take them to goodwill and get a tax slip. (2). Sell them on eBay (only the fall/winter stuff for now). (3). Take them to a local consignment shop, you can make money if they sell. (4). Donate them to a thrift store, like helping hands.

    2. Get rid of the shoes you don't wear. If they look gross, THROW THEM AWAY! Don't be afraid of     buying used shoes to replace your old ones. You can use anti bacterial wipes to clean the inside. You never know what unique pair of shoes you may find, that are used. It's so fun!

    3. Look for outfits and put them together in your closet. I actually go to consignment shops, look on eBay or search for clearance clothes. If I find a cute top at one place, I search for a matching piece to go with it at another, than jewelry. Consignment shops are awesome! You will save money. eBay is one of my favorite online places, well of course having a store...makes me shop even more on eBay.

    4. If you are still in love with a lot of your purses. Put some nails or hooks in your closet and hang them up. It will make it a ton easier to find them. That's where mine are right now. Hanging on the wall. I love switching out my purses. Oh by the way, one of my favorite purses is from a consignment shop. Her name is Connie. Yes, I have a friend of mine that names her purses and she named mine. It's a super cute red purse, and it was clean on the inside. If you are concerned about germs, get the anti bacterial wipes, and wipe them out. In this economy it's about saving! So, look on eBay, consignment shops, thrift stores, and more. You can find, great deals, low prices and unique items...no one else has. I love used now!
